Product review: Honey oatmeal cleansing creme

I love experimenting with homemade beauty treatments containing honey and oatmeal, so I was thrilled when I was asked to review the Honey Oatmeal Cleansing Crème from the Cygalle Healing Spa skincare line. This product contains honey, oatmeal, jojoba and almond oil, along with additional anti-aging ingredients to cleanse while enhancing the skin’s flexibility and suppleness.

Pros

Multipurpose – Because of its ingredients, this creme can cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate and protect your skin. The oatmeal washes away dead skin cells and removes dirt and oil, while the honey penetrates your skin to absorb the impurities. The other ingredients are naturally infused with antioxidants and other nutrients to help reduce fine lines and nourish your skin.

Smooth results – When I first rinsed the product from my face, I thought it left my skin feeling a little waxy. But after I patted my skin dry, I was left with a very smooth, silky texure. It made my skin feel more than clean; it made it feel healthy.

Cons

Fragrance – This creme obviously has oatmeal in it from the scent. It’s a slight turn off while you are washing your face, but the fragrance fades quickly.

Texture – I was expecting this product to be a little thicker. It’s like thin lotion, which works fine but wasn’t what I had expected. It’s so thin that you might end up using more than you need.

Price – The biggest con has to be the price tag. At $65 for an 8 oz bottle, it’s not everyone’s budget. Though it’s packed with great ingredients, I’m not sure that it warrants the price.
