A fashion craze of 2007, the black meets white pattern called Houndstooth was all the rage. And now, it’s popping up again in the most peculiar of places.
Black and white and worn all over
Houndstooth may seem like a stuffy wool pattern of days of yore, but it’s been getting a facelift and popping up on celebs and regular folks alike for years.
Unbeknownst to me, Houndstooth was all the rage at Fashion Week in 2007. It sparked a craze and soon celebs were rocking the black and white look like never before. More than a little late to the game, I first discovered Houndstooth as hip fashion must-have when my friend posted a pic of her newly glammed up nails online for the world to see. Instantly smitten, I had to see if this was a fashion yes or no.
Houndstooth is totally a YES!
Kim Kardashian, Dita von Teese and Claire Danes (just this week!) have all embraced Houndstooth. The black and white pattern looks good in almost any incarnation, from hearwear to red carpet worthy dresses.
