Everyone knows Elizabeth Banks as the hard hitting, tough as nails and super stylish girlfriend of Alec Baldwin on NBC’s 30 Rock. And just like her character on the show, she’s a new hot baby mamma! What cool dude gear can we expect to see little Felix rocking now that’s he’s made his big entrance?
New baby for Banks
Elizabeth Banks and husband Max Handelman welcomed their new baby boy, Felix, into the world Wednesday.
She wrote on Twitter:
“What’s greater than overjoyed? Megajoyed? It’s a boy!”
The couple used a surrogate, she announced Wednesday. Banks wrote on her blog:
“The one true hurdle I’ve faced in life is that I have a broken belly. After years of trying to get pregnant, exploring the range of fertility treatments, all unsuccessful, our journey led us to gestational surrogacy: we make a ‘baby cake’ and bake it in another woman’s ‘oven’.”
Along with her new baby, she also got to keep her old body — which is always fit, healthy and dressed to the nines.
Banks and Handelma chose the name Felix for their new son.
She wrote:
“Felix means ‘happy’ and ‘lucky’ in Latin. And true to his name, Felix is a very happy baby and a blessing on our life.”
Style icon like his mom?
One has to wonder what this stylish mom will dress her new stud up in now that he’s made his grand entrance. Will she get fashion advice from fellow funny woman, Amy Pohler and her little man, Archie, with his cute Bambeeno Octopus Sweater?
Or maybe she’ll keep her little bundle of joy bundled up with a hat like the one Naomi Watt’s son Samuel rocks.
We think Gwen Stefani’s uber cool kid Kingston is anout as stylish as they come. Perhaps Banks will be inspired to punk it up for her new little one.
Whatever gear Felix rocks will surely be adorable. Let’s hope Banks doesn’t keep her little star out of the spotlight for long!
