Spring table ideas

by

Spring is the perfect time to host a party — of any kind! Whether you are hosting an intimate Easter brunch or a laid-back springtime garden party this season, we have spring table ideas for every taste and theme.

go Beyond seasonal.

Aimee Beatty, Pier 1’s in-house stylist, advises, “Select figurines and statues in classic or neutral colors for the table centerpieces. Not only will they look great during the party, but they also can stay once Easter is over.”

Say it with candy.

Incorporate candy synonymous with the season into your spring table. For a take-home party favor, set on each guest’s place setting a spring-colored cellophane bag filled with Easter Peeps, pastel M&Ms, or brightly colored chocolate-covered sunflower seeds.

be Whimsical.

Beatty says, “Gather a selection of whimsical placemats that you can arrange in a set of multiples down the center of the table for a quick, fun table runner.”

go Monochromatic.

Use varying hues of a single spring color (pink, yellow, green, orange, etc.) to create your spring table. For example, get a table cloth, runner and linens in light green, lime green and Kelly green. Then use white plates to make the colors pop.

have Fun.

Beatty also suggests incorporating an ornament tree into the table setting. “It’s a fun way to embrace the theme of the season,” she says. “Give each ornament a custom hang tag with your guests’ names on them.”

get fresh.

Use a bowl of fresh fruits or vegetables as your centerpiece instead of a traditional floral arrangement. Imagine a beautiful silver bowl stacked high with artichokes, or a set of three small glass vases filled with lemons, limes or oranges.
