It’s almost time for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides to hit theaters. What better way to celebrate than with the new nail polish colors from OPI?
OPI has cornered the market on celebrity nail polish partnerships: their Justin Bieber line for Wal-Mart sold out quickly and they can’t keep up with the demand for the black shatter polish in the Katy Perry collection.
Now, OPI is getting in on the upcoming release of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides with a limited edition six-polish set.

The Pirates collection includes six sea-inspired nail colors along with a new shade in the shatter collection: silver. The nail polish colors all have clever names, too: Planks a Lot, a gorgeous pastel purple; Sparrow Me the Drama, a pretty summer pink; Skull & Glossbones, a stunning light gray; Mermaid’s Tears, a sea-inspired green; Stranger Tides, a sage.
“OPI is thrilled to celebrate the latest film in this beloved series,” said OPI artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides lacquers were inspired by a world filled with mythical mermaids, gleaming treasure and high-seas adventure. With shades ranging from sage and lavender to khaki gray and pastel pink, these colors are evocative of a warm, tropical setting, with a classic nautical influence.”
The polishes — all priced at $9 — are available this month in JC Penny, ULTA and other salons. We’re pumped to get our mitts on the summer-worthy colors. We’ve already tried the silver shatter and — dare we say — we love it even more than the black shatter.
