Etsy roundup: Paper goods

Etsy is an online marketplace where hundreds of thousands of creative people from more than 150 countries sell their handmade crafty goodness. Each week, we’re featuring a handful of our favorite items in our Etsy Roundup. On the menu this week: paper goods. Whether you want to say “thank you,” “I’m thinking of you” or bookmark your favorite book in style, we have the fabulous Etsy paper goods for you!

Handmade inspiration book

Breast cancer awareness notecard

Are you the sticky-note queen? If so, you need a place to jot all of your thoughts in one place. The handmade inspiration book ($24) by Etsy seller Pria Vanda (find her on Twitter and Facebook) is the answer! The front cover is hand-woven with satin ribbons in the colors of your choice and includes inspirational quotes, a two-year reference calendar, a ribbon bookmark and integrated folder. Perfect!

The breast cancer awareness notecard ($3) is crafted from an altered reproduction by seller Betty Refour (find her on Twitter and Facebook). The original drawing was created with oil pastels on paper. Betty’s beautiful work is printed on acid-free photo paper, affixed to cardstock and adorned with a hand-drawn gold border. And you can feel good about your purchase — the cardstock is 100 percent recycled.

Rainy Day Elephant Notecards

Freshly squeezed blank notecards

Bright and cheery, the boxed set of six Rainy Day Elephant notecards ($9) are a fabulous way to let someone know you’re thinking of them. Etsy seller Tamara Garvey Illustration (find her on Twitter and Facebook) designed these from her ink and Photoshop illustrations. Her sweet design is professionally printed on satin cardstock with the back left blank so you can write a personal message.

The Freshly Squeezed blank notecards ($8) come in a set of six and are ready for your personal note. These bright, cheery and perfect-for-summer cards are by Etsy seller Zo-Be Designs (find her on Twitter and Facebook), who says they remind her of citrus — and we agree! The cards are 4.5 x 5.5 inches and a wonderful way to say “thinking of you” or “thank you.” The set would also make a great gift.

Bead-embellished embroidery thank-you card

Bluebird in the Hydrangea Page percher

You won’t find one of these in the card section at your local grocery store! The bead-embellished embroidery thank-you card ($3) is stitched loveliness. Etsy seller Pretty Cheap (find her on Twitter and Facebook) says, “Elegance need not cost a fortune.” She mounts the embroidery on salmon cardstock and outlines it with translucent pink glitter glue. What a beautiful way to say “thank you!”

If you know an avid (old-school) reader who loves real books, this Bluebird in the Hydrangea Page percher bookmark ($7.50) is a wonderful gift. Etsy seller Mrs. Kwitty’s Cottage (find her on Twitter and Facebook) handcrafts her bookmarks from cardstock. It’s made so the wing fits over the top of the book page to keep the reader’s place — when the book is closed, the cute little bird is perched the top.
