Welcome to Pretty Little Things, where each week we bring you our picks for the prettiest little things online. If we love it, you’ll be the first to know! This week we take a look at gorgeous green looks.
Go for the green
Do you ever rediscover old pieces of clothing that you completely forgot you owned? I did that today and what I found inspired my Pretty Little Things finds this week. I opened my closet and there staring back at me was last season’s favorite green sundress. Green is one of my go-to hues although I haven’t worn much of it lately. That changed the second I spied the dress, which of course I immediately put on. Now that I only have eyes for green, check out my picks for gorgeous green must-haves.
Divine denim
I don’t normally go for colored denim. Not because I don’t like it, but more because I’ve always been a faded blue kind of girl. But when I spied these skinny jeans in a bright shade of emerald green (Revolve Clothing, $167), I became a colored denim convert. I’m picturing these with a white tank top, black strappy flats and a cropped cardigan. Green never looked so good.
Eye-popping polish
Summer means my nails are now considered an accessory, by which I mean I paint them often. I can never stick with one color too long (I’m fashionably fickle), but this gorgeous shade of green Essie polish (ULTA, $8) might make me stay true to one shade for longer than a week. Called Turquoise & Caicos, this sea green hue is perfect for long sunny days and balmy summer nights.
Easy-wearing espadrilles
I can never have too many pairs of heels and these Nine West espadrille platforms (Macy’s, $99) will be welcomed into my mid-season collection with open arms. The peep toe and vibrant shade of green scream summer and will look great with a neutral sundress or even a jumper.
Flirty & floral
I know not everyone will be as excited about this sweet floral sundress (Top Shop, $130) as I am, but there’s something about it that really caught my eye and made me want to wear it immediately. Pretty poppies in various shades of green sit on a white background with a dark green trim and halter. This is perfect for a mid-summer afternoon wedding.
True love tote
Since I’ve purchased most of my summer styles at this point, I find myself gravitating toward pieces that I’ll be able to use now but take into fall. This swoon-worthy leather tote in a gorgeous shade of green (Anthropologie, $258) had me the moment I laid eyes on it. Slouchy, soft and with overlapping front pockets, the crisp-colored bag might become my new go-to tote.
Casual cool
Like the bag above (that I’ve crowned my new accessory crush), this simple, lightweight cardigan (Urban Outfitters, $49) can be used now over a sundress, but easily carried into fall. The long green cardigan has an open front, stitched shawl collar and side pockets. It also comes in black and soft pink, but let’s face it — green takes the cake.
