Hotel Unique in São Paulo

Known to adoring locals as “the watermelon,” Hotel Unique was designed by São Paulo-born Japanese-Brazilian architect Ruy Ohtake, who’s the visionary behind other area architectural sights like the Hotel Renaissance and Edifício Santa Catarina. Besides being the location of choice for São Paulo Fashion Week fetes, Hotel Unique has an ultra-posh staff that rocks Alexandre Herchcovitch-designed uniforms. The fun trickles down to guests, too, who swoon over Bvlgari bath amenities and custom-made Havaianas flip-flops.
