Giuliana Rancic’s style watch

As a host of E!’s hilarious Fashion Police, Giuliana Rancic sat down with SheKnows to tell us what she’s spotting on her red carpet radar. She came prepared to name labels that she loves and inside secrets to her red carpet routine. Buckle down for this fashion police drill, Giuliana is schooling us on timeless trends and styles.

Fun and Fashion with Giuliana Rancic

“It’s fashion, it’s fun,” Giuliana says when Whitney asks how celebs react to the dis remarks they hear about themselves on Fashion Police. “When I end up on a worst dressed list, I have so many other things going on in my life that I can’t worry about it. I think, hope, that other people feel the same way.” On that note, here’s the fashion trends and styles that Giuliana is hot for.

Labels for a best dressed list

“I love Diane Von Furstenberg. She is amazing. That wrap dress — I remember wearing it ten years ago, and I can wear it again today. Her stuff never goes out of style.” Giuliana also claims, “She’s so much more than the wrap dress.” Catherine Malandrino has also found a place in the heart of Giuliana’s closet, along with BCBG Max Azria.

Her timeless fashion picks

Besides loving the forever fashionable wrap dress, Giuliana also has a thing for the skinny jean. “I just saw a girl in the hall of E! News with a really cool distressed pair that had tears in them.” For anyone interested, they were the skinny boyfriend fit by J Brand.

Her best red carpet tip:

“I get to the event two hours ahead of time and I’ll wash my hair the night before so that it holds better [for the event] the next day.” You heard it from the Fashion Police expert herself — let your hair get a little down and dirty.

Right alongside the skinny jean, Giuliana also says, “An awesome bell bottom jean is so cute,” commenting that J Brand also has some adorable bell bottoms.

“I’m really into menswear right now; I think that the menswear look is a classic piece that you invest in. Get a nice pant suit and you can have it forever.” She says, “A classic black pant and blazer — you can’t go wrong with that.”

Her beauty and style tips for women on the go

“I’m loving those funny Sally Hansen nail stickers. They’re so easy to put on; they take five minutes to do your whole manicure.” When Giuliana has five minutes to spare at work, that’s what you can find her doing. When it comes to real nail polish, she loves Essie’s Ballet Slippers tint. “I think Essie makes the most classic colors.”

When it’s time to travel, Giuliana is no stranger. She and her husband nurtured a long distance marriage for several years while her job takes her around the world to cover events as traditional as the royal wedding to ones as glamorous as The Oscars — not to mention her roots are in Naples, Italy. So, how’s a girl to pack?

“I used to love just throwing everything in the suitcase like a big ball; just horrible.” Now, she’s realized you really need to fold everything. “So, I fold all my clothes, my shirt, dresses, everything. And then I pack my shoes, my socks and underwear.” She tucks them into the sides and in between the other staple items as opposed to packing them first. “That’ll save you a lot of space,” she says.

Her best accessory

Despite picking up on the hottest fashion trends, we think Giuliana’s best accessory is her hubby, Bill. Together they recognize that Hollywood is just a back drop and that if it all disappeared, they would still have eachother.
