Everyone’s talking about Olivia Wilde‘s gothic-inspired dress that she wore to the premiere of Cowboys and Aliens at Comic Con. That inspired us to be darker than our usual girly selves and see what other gothic-inspired fashions are out there. When you’re trying to go a little goth, don’t leave the house without these shoes, belts and accessories!

Olivia Wilde’s gothic-inspired lace gown might have been a little over the top for our liking (and for July), but every now and then, what’s the danger in dressing to kill? You can find gothic-inspired fashions at stores you might not think would have them. Pair gothic-inspired accessories with clothes that are more your everyday style. Here’s what we found:
ShoesBooties are super fashionable and have a dark edge to them. Gothic-inspired shoes can be heels like this pair, but booties are our fashion favorite. The dark red color matched with suede gives the shoe that perfect hue. Pair these with black tights or ones with a pattern to enhance the look even further. JewelryThis bangle is undeniably awesome — with a gothic-inspired flare. Pair it with your favorite little black dress and a smokey eye or wear it to dress up jeans and a t-shirt. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Seen here: Woven Studded Fringe Bangle (Bebe, $44) |
SunglassesAdd a sense of mystery by rocking big, round shades like these. They are fashion forward with a vintage feel. The darker, the better — and no one will be able to tell what you’re thinking. Seen here: Ray Ban Large Vintage Sunglasses (Urban Outfitters, $140) |
BeltsStudded belts can add a spark to any wardrobe. Don’t be afraid to pair black with black — wrap a belt like this over a black dress or shirt for added effect. Belts are also great accessories to wear with a fun pair of earrings — just make sure you dont go overboard with the jewelry. Seen here: Leather Round Studded Belt (Rivithead, $35) |
