Welcome to Pretty Little Things, where each week we bring you our picks for the prettiest little things online. If we love it, you’ll be the first to know! This week we’re looking at some of our favorite fashionable finds on Etsy.
Etsy addiction
I can get sucked into browsing Etsy for hours. There are so many fabulously unique finds that it can be hard to tear your eyes away from page after page of other people’s creativity and talent. Recently, I found myself checking out the clothing and thought I would share some of my favorite styles.
Effortless dressI absolutely love the breezy simplicity of this gorgeous cotton dress ($69) with a scoop neck and pretty floral patterned lining. This is the kind of dress you can throw on and know you look great without really having to try too hard. I love the gathered waist and easy movement of this comfortably chic piece. |
Wool coatNot that I want to think about the temperature dropping, but inevitably it’s going to (sigh). With that in mind, I found myself gravitating toward this elegant dark blue wool coat ($98) with an oversize collar and belted waist. The structured design and interesting way the collar drapes around the back of the coat make this a stylish way to stay warm once summer is over. |
Off the shoulder dressIt’s not every day that a dress made of hemp catches my eye, but this hand dyed stretchy style ($190) really stood out for me in a good way. The simple yet chic dress features a rich chocolate brown skirt and an off-white top with layered draping at the neck, which creates an eye-catching look that draws the eye up. I particularly love the way the top slides off one shoulder. |
Oversize sweaterOversize sweaters are a staple in my fall wardrobe. I love wearing them over leggings or skinny jeans and pairing with a great pair of boots for an effortlessly polished look. One look at this slouchy gray wool sweater ($55) and I was in love. It’s baggy but not totally shapeless and has a menswear inspired design that gives it some edge. |
Plaid blouseI wasn’t sure what to think when I first noticed this silk plaid shirt ($88), but I was pleasantly surprised by how great it looked once I clicked through to check out the larger images. You could easily create an eye-catching look for the office by tucking this stylish shirt into a high-waisted skirt, adding some textured tights and pairing with platform pumps. |
Sleeveless knit topSince I still haven’t learned how to knit, I’m endlessly fascinated by the beautiful things other people make with only a couple of needles and a few balls of yarn. This ultra-cute hand knit white sleeveless top is no exception ($55). I love the woven cable knit area around the middle that gives this top an almost corseted look. |
