Mark your calendars: Fashion’s Night Out is right around the corner, on Sept. 8. From Los Angeles to Paris, the third annual shopping extravaganza is the ultimate shopping night, with thousands of stores open late and offering fun perks and deals to boost fashion and shopping.

Imagine if shopping felt like a nightclub, where retail stores were filled with DJs, live music, free-flowing cocktails and even celebrities.

Enter Fashion’s Night. The third annual shopping extravaganza is here again, on Sept. 8, with nearly every city around the globe celebrating the night designed to boost the fashion industry and retail sales. While you can partake in FNO in most cities across the US, we focused on New York City, where FNO kicks off Fashion Week. The following are our destination and hotel picks for experiencing fashion’s biggest night, whether you want to see celebrities or just catch some fun events. At Avenue, 711 Third Ave., meet actress and singer, Brooke Elliott, currently on Lifetime’s original hit series Drop Dead Diva, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Meet Nicky Hilton when she launches her clothing line Nicholai at Big Drop, 174 Spring St. Plus receive a gift with purchase from Nicky’s collection and enjoy cocktails and drinks.
