Smoky eyes are sultry, sexy and so in this fall. In today’s Beauty Finds, we have some great tools for smoking out those baby blue/green/browns/hazels. Check out Make Up Forever’s new Smoky Color: Fall 2011.
Make Up Forever Smoky Eye Collection
Make Up Forever is known for their fantastic pigments and their gorgeous products. I’ve personally used their products for years. Their new collection for fall is totally stunning and perfect for smoking out the eyes.
First, they’ve got a new Limited Edition Smoky Palette containing shadows to create smoky eyes in brown, blue, purple, green and black. There is also a copper, a taupe, a beige and a white shimmer to highlight the brow bones. I’m loving this palette because a little goes a long, long way.
Pro tip: When using dark shadows, make sure you do the eyes before the foundation and concealer. That way you can clean up whatever spillage ends up under your eyes or down your face. We highly recommend this or packing translucent powder under your eyes first for a quick sweep away. Buff and blend and pack on the color until your heart is content without worrying about raccoon eyes after you’re done.
The collection also includes a new Smoky Lash Couleur, better known as fabulous mascara. Now, we’re not always a fan of colored mascara, but these are stunning. They give amazing volume, length and curl and come in deep brown, green, dark blue and plum. All the colors are dark enough to keep you from looking like 1985.
Finally, they’ve got super creamy Khol Pencils in pearly green, black purple, deep blue and matte mocha brown. These babies glide on like a dream and they’re perfect for smoking out the eye line. They blend well, but resist sliding after setting.
Pro tip: Buff a bit of powder on top of the line to set it even faster.
Make Up Forever Limited Edition Smoky Palette retails for $45. Make Up Forever New Smoky Lash Couleur retails for $22. Make Up Forever Khol Pencil retails for $17. All products are available at Sephora.com or Sephora stores. |
