In today’s Beauty Finds, we’ve got a fun new idea for you. Nothing brings more notice to the eyes than repeating the shadow color you choose in an accessory. It’s a great little tip we picked up on film sets. We’ve got two examples and some great products we can’t wait to share with you.
Look #1
First, we love the jewelry from Stella & Dot. They’re reasonably priced and really stunning. For our first look, we’ve got these beautiful Estate Chandelier Earrings. They’ve got a ton of shimmering colors in each gem, including brown, green and pink.
Having these babies sparkling in your ears will bring notice to your face immediately, but more so if you pair it with Too Faced Eye Shadow in our favorite shade, Label Whore. (Yes, we know, great name!) It’s got those same peacock shades, but goes on in a subtle way. We love this color brushed across the lids and buffed up into the crease. Wet the shadow and use a thin brush to line the eye and complete with lots of mascara. Keep the rest of the face soft and use a neutral gloss so all the focus stays on your stunning peepers.
Too Faced Eye Shadow Singles are available at TooFaced.com and retail for $15. The Estate Chandelier Earrings are available at stellaanddot.com and retail for $49. |
Look #2
Next up, we have a Stella & Dot Threaded Turquoise Necklace. It’s a beautiful, layered piece and we’ve got the perfect shadow to match.
Make Up For Ever is known for its strong pigments and a little goes a long way. We love using Eggshell on the brow bone, Orange Coral Matte in the crease and Turquoise Matte on the lid. That way, whenever you blink, you get a flash of color, but it’s not overdone. Line with a soft brown and finish with a brown mascara. Again, keep the rest of the face neutral. Go with a little bronzer on the cheeks and a soft coral gloss to pick up the color on the eyes.
Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow is available from Sephora.com and retails for $19. The Threaded Turquoise Necklace is available at stellaanddot.com and retail for $49. |
