10 Retailers that support breast cancer awareness

Move over black and orange, because pink has officially become the color of October. Many major retailers are showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with pink-saturated products. These 10 retailers are donating portions (or all!) of their proceeds to the cause, so you know you can feel good about buying your favorite items.

Sephora

Sephora has stocked a handful of pink ribbon beauty products in a collection called Beauty That Gives Back to keep you beautiful on the outside while reminding you to take care of yourself on the inside. Eye shadows, brushes and lotions are all part of the pink collection. Stila’s Positive and Pretty Palette contains rosy eye shadows along with a blush and highlighter for only $14.

Kitchenaid

This October, Kitchenaid is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their Cook for a Cure campaign! One fun way to donate is to gather your friends and family and start a Pass the Plate tradition. First, you purchase a commemorative plate, and then you make a mouth-watering recipe and give it to a friend with a note telling them to do the same. Each time the plate is passed and registered, Kitchenaid will make a $5 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Harley Davidson

Even tough guys (and girls!) wear pink. Harley Davidson is making it easy for customers to shop for a cause with their Motor Clothes Pink collection. Leather helmets, jackets and accessories are all part of the collection, and a portion of proceeds go to YourShoes 24/7 Breast Cancer Support Center. We love this rhinestone-embellished Harley baseball cap ($30).

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony fund supports medically needy communities by helping to pay for cancer research, care and education around the world. The fund began with a focus on breast cancer, but now donates 10 percent of proceeds to all of those affected by various types of cancers. Ralph Lauren’s iconic polo player logo has been dyed pink for this collection of comfy sweaters, polos and yoga pants.

Yoplait

Yoplait has been a breast cancer research supporter for years and even has a campaign that supports breast cancer research called Save Lids to Save Lives. Yogurt lovers can redeem their pink lids online through the end of the year and Yoplait will donate 10 cents for every lid. You can even dedicate your lids to someone special or read inspirational stories on their website.

Ford

Ford supports breast cancer awareness with their huge Warriors in Pink campaign. ‘Like’ Ford Warriors in Pink on Facebook and they’ll donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure during October. Not into Facebook? Buy a Reach for the Moon tee ($20) designed by Jennifer Aniston instead and 100 percent of the net proceeds will go to the cause.

1-800-flowers.com

1-800-flowers.com is brightening spirits and making a difference with their beautiful Pink Ribbon flower bouquet ($60). One dozen long-stem pink roses are arranged with daisies in a pink ceramic pitcher and are finished off with the traditional pink satin ribbon. With a portion of proceeds going to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, there has never been a better time to send someone flowers.

New Balance

When you’re walking 60 miles to support Breast Cancer Awareness, the last thing you need is sore feet slowing you down. New Balance’s 860 Walking Shoe ($85) is the official shoe of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. Not only does five percent of the purchase get donated to the cause, but the N-ergy cushioning and cute pink and gray design will get you to the finish line comfortably and stylishly.

Amoro Jewelry

Online retailer Amoro.com emphasizes celebrating life’s anniversaries with beautiful jewelry. Their pearl toggle Hope bracelet ($80) is the perfect gift to give to breast cancer survivors to celebrate their ‘cancer-free’ anniversary. It has a pink enamel and silver heart charm to remind them that you really care. Ten percent of the proceeds go to Feel Your Boobies, an organization that uses unexpected and unconventional methods to remind young women to check their breasts regularly.

Felinefido.com

Felinefido.com supports the cause year-round with an adorable line of Pink Ribbon cat and dog collars, leashes and ID tags. Dark and light pink ribbon aluminum tags can be engraved with your pet’s name or even a special sentiment, and 15 percent of net proceeds will be donated. You can also check out Felinefido.com’s selection of collars in different colors (including brown or black for the “manly dogs and cats”) from $13 to $19.
