If you’re ready for a change, read on for our picks for some stylish home accents perfect for welcoming spring.
Say hello to spring
In style
Ceramic wall planters
If you’re itching to put your green thumb to good use, we suggest starting by filling these chic ceramic wall planters (westelm.com, $19 to $69). The eye-catching white matte planters come in various shapes and sizes and can be hung alone or in groups to really create a spring-worthy design.
Pretty pillow
The gorgeous splash of color on this decorative pillow really caught our eye (2modern.com, $195). We can’t get enough of the on-trend hues (yellow and gray are a must for spring) and we love the simple yet stylish design. Add one (or three) to your couch, a neutral armchair or even use a few to brighten up your bed!
Vase
Show off the first of spring’s blooms in this cheerful handblown glass vase in a fabulous shade of turquoise (gumps.com, $75). Perfect for displaying a single bloom or a full bouquet, this handmade piece adds a pop of color to any surface. We particularly like the idea of lining a wide windowsill with three or four.
Antique canning jars
What’s old is new again and right on-trend. Give any room a rustic twist with one or two of these large antique canning jars (williams-sonoma.com, $99 to $121). Leave as-is or fill with anything from shells from your last beach vacation to dried flowers to sweet treats. Originally used to can fruit and vegetables, we think they would make a gorgeous addition to your kitchen counter.
Sculpted floor lamp
No longer an afterthought when it comes to decor, lighting has become an important aspect for transforming your space. Think spring and easily add interest to any room with this ornate floor lamp featuring pretty papier mache blooms climbing all the way to the light fixture at the top (anthropologie.com, $498).
Vintage-inspired side table
Adding vintage-inspired charm to your home is something that has style staying power when it comes to decor. For spring, we love this wooden side table in robin’s egg blue (urbanoutfitters.com, $179). Use it as a nightstand, end table or even in the kitchen for extra surface space if you need it. The fun hue is perfect for shedding the winter blahs and embracing a new season.
Bold fold-up table
If you have a small space but still love to entertain, this dining table in one of spring’s hottest hues (tangerine) is for you (cb2.com, $499). The clever tabletop folds into a manageable size when you don’t need it or flips open to seat six when you do. We couldn’t resist the color and think it makes an ideal warmer-weather addition to any home, no matter the size.
Colorful candleholders
Nothing creates ambiance quite like the soft glow of a candle — which is why we always have several on hand in every room. For spring, we’re currently coveting these bright handcrafted votives made from recycled glass (crateandbarrel.com, $7 to $15). Each glass candleholder is rolled in colorful glass chips for a confetti-like effect.
