If you are like many moms, you will probably get a “day off” on Mother’s Day (or so you hope!). This is a great day to pamper yourself, so go ahead and indulge in the luxury of a few hours off duty with these latest at-home products and spa treatments.
Stretch and relax
Start your day off with your favorite yoga class. If you can’t make it to the studio, try one of the many online classes at a website like Gaia that you can access at any time

After your yoga workout, turn your shower into a serene escape with aromatherapy. For stress relief, try the Sweet Peppermint Shower Infusers by Bath by Bettijo ($36). Next, use a body scrub to create smooth touchable skin. One to try is the Bamboo and Lemongrass body scrub by Lather ($38). The fragrance will both invigorate and calm you at the same time; the ground bamboo softens and cleanses your skin; and the scrub creates the perfect canvas to apply a treatment body mask.
Treatment time
After your shower is the perfect time to start your hair and body treatments. First of all, turn on the bathroom heater or bring in a portable heater so you are comfortable. Once you turn off the water, apply a deep conditioning hair mask such as Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask ($40) to condition and revitalize your hair and scalp.
Next, apply a firming body mask to tone and tighten your skin such as Borghese Ferma Firming Mud Mask for Face and Body ($70), which contains peptides and antioxidants to firm and plump skin. Sit on the edge of the bathtub or bring in a chair (remember to put a towel on it!) while you wait for the masks to take effect.
While you are waiting, light an aromatherapy candle and read your favorite gossip magazine. You can also simply meditate for 20 minutes. Studies have shown that regular meditation does wonders for our body and mind, so be sure to think beautiful thoughts and when you are done, you will feel beautiful.
