Wardrobe items to borrow from dear old dad
Hello SK Style Watchers! There’s nothing that will make you look and feel more feminine than adding a little dose of masculine flavor to your style from time to time. Sounds crazy, but it’s true!
Today I’m going to show you three key pieces that you can borrow from your dear dad or another man in your life for this special SheKnows style Father’s Day edition!
Tie
Now don’t worry if you don’t know how to officially tie a tie. These always look better on women when they are slightly askew; you don’t want it to be perfect. So that means you can get really creative when you tie your tie, and don’t forget that you can also wear it as a belt. I love the bold graphic look of this striped tie from Urban Outfitters ($17).
Fedora
A basic man’s fedora looks fantastic when worn with your little black dress, skinny jeans or loads of pearls! That brings me to another tip: When upping the masculine quotient, throw on some extra feminine touches like ruffles or pearls to balance the his and hers equilibrium. Try on this Halogen print fedora ($38) for size!
Oversized men’s shirt
What can’t this do? It looks great belted over a skirt or leggings or worn open with a T-shirt and shorts. And if you get one long enough, you can belt it and wear it as a dress! This shirt from H&M ($20) has a slim fit so it won’t be too bulky on a female figure.
