Having struck America with her diagnosis and giving them hope with her survival, Giuliana teamed up with the LOFT stores to help design the “Live in Pink” capsule collection, a pink and glittery line for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Naturally, she has a few pointers for her fellow survivors on coping with post-mastectomy body confidence.

Giuliana’s post-surgery style advice
First, we asked the E! News queen, fashionista and survivor, “What’s the best style advice you would give a woman trying to boost her confidence and get comfortable with her new body after a mastectomy?”
Giuliana: Wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident. If you’re not ready to put some of your old clothes back on, that’s OK! Everyone has different feelings and emotions following a mastectomy and I think it is best for everyone to do what makes them feel comfortable. One thing that I did after my mastectomy that helped my confidence and peace of mind was have a little spa day. It helped me feel refreshed and a little bit like myself again. Even a simple mani-pedi can help boost your spirits.
Second, we wanted to know her number one piece of coping advice for women recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Giuliana: Educate yourself. There are so many different routes for treatment and it is extremely important to do an ample amount of research to determine what is right for you. Talk to your doctor about your options and try to avoid going online for information. It’s best to rely on information directly from your doctor. I would also say to stay positive! Breast cancer is a fightable disease and the more positive you are, the easier it is to cope with what lies ahead.
