Some things are bad in excess. Salt, shoes, coffee… Glitter is not one of these things.
Upcycled: Add a little sparkle to an old shirt
Whether it’s on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana or Alexis Mabille or in your craft supplies, you can never have enough glitter and sparkle. If you’re looking to add a little dose of luster to your wardrobe, this tutorial is simple, fast and easy!
Supplies:
- Fabric Mod Podge
- A paintbrush
- A shirt with a collar
- Glitter
Instructions:
First, you need to choose a shirt that would work well with a bit of glitter and iron the collar flat.
Next, you need to take a bit of the Fabric Mod Podge and put it in a small dish.
Mix your glitter into the Mod Podge. You can add as much glitter as you’d like. If you want your collar to be super glittery, you should add a bit more glitter. Just make sure the Mod Podge mixture doesn’t get too dry or chunky.
Start painting the glitter mixture onto your collar. You can paint it on pretty thick — just make sure to spread it out and make it smooth and even.
Continue to add layers until you can’t see the fabric of the shirt below.
Let it dry overnight and you’re all set!
