Hello there. My name is Frida and I am a 18-month old
Shih-poo and BarkBox office pup.
BarkBox is a monthly subscription box where you can get treats, toys, and dog goodies delivered right to your door. I spend most of my time snoozin’ around the BarkBox office or testing treats with my coworker, Scout. Because I’ve tested pretty much a bajillion treats to decide what goes in each month’s BarkBox, I’ve developed quite a taste for good treats. With this skill, my dream is to become the most well-known treat blogger in the dog blog world. (High stakes, I know.) I’m terribly excited to share my “Peanut Butter Pup Treats” recipe, and I’ll let you in on a little secret: they’re delicious.
Supplies:
First you need to gather your supplies. For this recipe you’ll need:
- 1 cup of whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. of baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted peanut butter
- 1/2 cup hot water
- Some cookie cutters
Instructions:
First you need to preheat your oven to 325 degrees and begin by mixing the flour and baking powder together. Then, add your peanut butter and water. Now this might be a little difficult to mix with a pair of paws, but trust me, it can be done.
After you’ve mixed your treat batter, mold it into a ball and place it on a clean counter or waxed paper.
Roll out your dough and gather your cookie cutters. I found that it was easiest to use your paws to spread out the dough. Who knew that rolling pins would be so hard to use without thumbs?
With your cookie cutter, cut out all of your treats…
and place them on a baking sheet.
Let your treats bake for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Take them out, let them cool, and then you can share with friends!
Peanut buttery goodness for all the pups around.
