Tulips
Nothing says “spring” as much as tulips. Made popular by the Dutch during “tulip mania,” these sculptural flowers are actually native to Central Asia. Tulips originally came in hues of red and yellow, but tulip breeding has created thousands of varieties and colors that are available today. The stunning blooms have the effect of making viewers feel like they’ve stumbled into a vivid watercolor painting.

Lilies
While lilies tend to bloom mid to late summer, these fragrant flowers usually become available as potted plants around Easter. Lilies are bell-shaped flowers with large petals and have a heavenly fragrant scent. A little of these perfumed blooms goes a long way. If using them in a flower arrangement, use only 2-3 of these flowers to make sure the scent isn’t overwhelming.
Daffodils
These classic spring flowers are also known by their botanical name narcissus. Daffodils are a popular flower that symbolizes friendship. The trumpet-shaped petals are most often seen in yellow shades, but daffodil flowers come in other popular colors like white, orange, and pink.
Hyacinth
The intense, vibrant shades and sweet smelling blooms make hyacinth a favorite spring bulb. The flowers look like small clusters of grapes and while popular in indigo shades, hyacinth also shines in hues of blue, magenta, pink, yellow, and white. Similar to lilies, hyacinth flowers are intensely fragrant and it might be a good idea to use them sparingly indoors.
