Work-life balance is less of an equation and more of a gut feeling

The question of balance comes up routinely in conversations with working moms, and it’s something I’m conscious of every single day. As an anchor for MSNBC, co-founder of Good Shop and mother and wife, I’m challenged with squeezing a little work and a little life into every day.

Whether it’s choosing between reading scripts or running home, cooking dinner or having a business meeting, I always go with my gut. And that’s what I’ve learned throughout all of the madness – that there’s no perfect equation for balance. You have to do what feels right for you. And at the end of the day, I’m grateful that I’m afforded the opportunity to choose.

How do you balance work-life?
