The wearable technology trend has merged with the desire to indulge in a little solo hanky panky wherever you go. That’s right, ladies — there’s a vibrator necklace. What appears to be an attractive piece of jewelry is so much more.
The Vesper was created by Crave, which in 2012 brought us the world’s first crowdfunded vibrator, Duet.
Now they’re onto the next big thing with a stylish necklace that doubles as a vibrator. Vesper comes in silver, 24-carat gold-plated and rose gold-plated with a 26-inch long matching chain. Prices start at $49 for the silver Vesper, $59 for rose gold and $129 for gold. The solid stainless steel pendant contains a nickel-free plated cap. The body and tip will not change color or tarnish, and it includes a cable so you can charge it for ongoing use.
Speaking of use, the three-speed necklace vibrator is super quiet (will you be?). It’s not intended for insertion, only for clitoral stimulation.
“We embrace the idea that sex is healthy, wholesome and playful, and that it provides vital sparks to everyday life. We know people crave a variety of sexual experiences and that there should be no judgment, stigma or shame about that desire,” the company says on its website. “To that end, it has always been our goal to elevate the idea of sex toys for women through beautiful and well-considered design.”
Customized engraving is available on all pre-orders, which the company says is going on through Aug. 31.
But we still have some questions. Why do we need to wear a vibrator around our necks and are we just supposed to sling it around our neck again after using it? What would you engrave on it? And naturally, which heels go best with this one-of-a-kind, dual-purpose piece of jewelry?
