Cameron Diaz tells it as it is

In Sydney to promote her new movie, The Other Woman, Cameron Diaz has been sharing a few interesting insights into her love life.

Cameron Diaz is one of Hollywood’s leading ladies, and many a leading man has been lucky enough to walk the red carpet by her side, including Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto and Matt Dillon. However, none of them have lasted the course and the 41-year-old actress remains resolutely single. But guess what? She says she’s not bothered — and we believe her. She certainly doesn’t seem concerned about the absence of a significant other in her life as she giggles her way around a worldwide promotional tour with her The Other Woman co-stars, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton.

Back in 2010, Cameron said, “Relationships can last two, five or 20 years. I don’t believe in sharing your bed with the same person your whole life, though. That might be a reality for some, but it surely isn’t for me.”

Four years later and Cameron’s views on sex, dating and relationships are just as relaxed. She revealed that she sees no problem in having more than one lover in order to meet your needs.

“For some reason, we get into relationships and we expect one man to understand all the parts of us and meet all of those needs. I think that’s where everything fails,” she said.

On starting a family: 

“It would be great to start a family at some point. [But] I like my sleep. That’s why I don’t want a baby right now. I want my sleep.”

On sex:

“It should be 100 per cent part of everyone’s life on a day-to-day basis.”

“The best time of day for sex is anytime because it’s sex.”

On kissing frogs:

“I’d kiss a frog even if there was no promise of a Prince Charming popping out of it. I love frogs.”
