We’ve heard of a destination wedding, but never in our wildest dreams did we think the destination would be a Tim Hortons.

But that’s exactly what Alberta couple Greg Arlett and Adonus Wiseman decided to do when they took their love of coffee to the next level and got hitched inside a Tim Hortons in Lethbridge. And to make the celebration even more authentically Canadian, they chose to exchange vows while wearing ice hockey jerseys.
According to CBC News, the couple married in front of 50 family members and friends (as well as regular Tim Hortons customers) after their Mexico wedding fell through.

So what does a Tim Hortons wedding look like?
It doesn’t include a white wedding gown or a black suit. Rather, the bride and groom support different hockey teams (she’s a Habs fan, he’s an Oilers fan), so they each wore their respective jerseys, and the pastor wore a referee’s jersey.
“One of us was wearing the right jersey. One of us wasn’t,” the groom told the outlet. “That’s kind of where we leave that argument so we have a happy marriage.” And his bride added, “Our pastor was wearing a referee jersey, and Greg and I kind of started a hockey fight. And then we did our ceremony.”
Their guests were reportedly served coffee and Timbits, and then, to make the day extra special, the couple had a musician singing Stompin’ Tom Connors’ “The Hockey Song.”

The couple’s wedding favours included Tim Hortons gift cards and hockey pucks that read, “The puck dropped October 31, 2015. We played. We scored. Always and forever Mr. and Mrs,” the outlet reports.
