Newly single Lauren Conrad dishes on dating

Fashion designer, author, and former Hills star Lauren Conrad tells SheKnows what she’s looking for in a man.

If Lauren Conrad is nursing a broken heart, you wouldn’t know it. The multi-talented star was glowing Thursday night at her debut of Paper Crownat Nordstrom for Fashion’s Night Out.

When asked what she’s looking for in her next relationship, L.C. was ready to talk.

“Oh gosh, I haven’t been asked that in so long,” Lauren told SheKnows. “For me the biggest thing is a sense of humor. I think if you’re with someone that can make you laugh, that’s the best.”

Lauren split with beau of three years, Kyle Howard, in June. Though this vocalization of her single status is a first, rumors of romance have already been circulating.

Reports said recently that she and Teen Wolf star Colton Hayes may be an item. Unfortunately, we caught up with the actor earlier last night at the Beverly Center’s Fashion’s Night Out event where he was arm in arm with co-star Holland Rosen.

“Colton and Holland are 100% dating,” says a source. “Lauren and Colton are just friends.”

And though she didn’t confirm that she is dating yet, Lauren did fill us in on her date night fashion tips.

“I think you should do something that you feel comfortable in,” Lauren said. “You don’t want to be fidgeting all night. I think it’s definitely important to look like yourself on a date. You don’t want to dress up like someone else, wearing too much makeup or big hair.”

She even gave us some recommendations from her line.

“Dates are hard,” said Lauren. “Don’t be too fancy, don’t be too casual. I really love the faux leather leggings.”

If you want to grab a pair for your next date, head over to Nordstrom or check out Paper Crown online.
