Octopus sock craft

Supplies:

• Long sock
• Dry beans
• Sewing scissors
• Buttons
• Quick-drying glue

Directions:

1. First, fill your clean sock with enough beans to form a ball about the size of your fist. Tie the neck of the sock into a tight knot to secure the beans and the ball shape.
2. Use your sewing scissors to cut the neck of your sock into eight equal strips, cutting from the opening up to the knot.
3. Have your youngster help tie a knot in the bottom of each of your strips, which have now formed the tentacles.
4. Glue 2 buttons to the ball part of your octopus and your sock octopus craft is ready for some deep sea shenanigans.
