Animal crafts you can make with your kids

Walrus foam craft

Supplies:

  • Brown craft foam sheet
  • Plastic drinking straw
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • 2 Wiggle eyes
  • 2 Yellow pom-poms
  • Black marker

Directions:

  1. First, take the brown foam sheet and cut out a circle for your walrus animal craft’s head, a larger oval for the body, 2 flippers and a tail. For the flippers, you can double up your foam sheet to cut out 2 identical pieces at the same time.
  2. Glue 2 wiggle eyes to the round head piece and glue 2 pom-poms under the eyes for the cheeks.
  3. Have your child measure out how long he wants the straw tusks to be and cut them with scissors. Glue to the back of the walrus’ head behind where the pom-pom pieces are glued.
  4. Glue 1 flipper on either side of the oval, making sure you can still see the back flipper once they are attached. Add on the tail to the opposite end of the oval.
  5. Finally, glue your walrus’ head to the front of the walrus’ body and your fun craft is ready to brave the cold.
