Animal crafts you can make with your kids

Iguana paper craft

Supplies:

  • Green card stock
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • 2 Wiggle eyes
  • Glue
  • Sequins

Directions:

  1. First, sketch an iguana shape onto a piece of green card stock. Help your child cut it out with scissors, but save the scraps for the dorsal crests that run down the back.
  2. Take a long strip of scrap paper and fold it in half lengthwise to make a long, skinny strip. Then, use scissors to make a zigzag pattern along the folded side, cutting halfway into the strip.
  3. Once your dorsal crests are cut, create a crease along each side of the folded strip to form flaps for gluing to your iguana. Run a thin strip of glue under the flaps and secure to the back of your iguana craft.
  4. Finally, use glue to attach the eyes to the head and glue sequins down the iguana’s back and your animal craft is ready for fun.
