One surprising baby name trend that we never saw coming is the big demand for baby names that end in X. Blame it on Brangelina, parents to sons Maddox, Pax and Knox, but today, many new parents are on the hunt for a unique baby name that ends with a bang.

Fortunately, there are plenty of boy and girl baby names that end with an X to go around. From actors, such as Dax Shepard, to musical legends like Jimi Hendrix, baby names that end in X can be found just about anywhere. And adding one to your baby’s birth certificate means that these awesome baby names continue to be as cool as ever.
Think outside the box (but maybe don’t name your baby that). You’ve probably heard of the name Fox… why not Lynx? And some of these names might work for boys or girls — Onyx, for example, could suit either sex.

X name options
If you’re not feeling these for the first name spot, what about for a middle name? Take Croix for example. It would be magnificent paired with a strong, traditional first name like James or a more modern choice like Jayden. Just about any of these X baby names would work really well as a middle name.
The girl names are a little more unusual, but that is appealing in their own right. Suitable for either a first name or a middle, we’ve included traditional, classic names like Beatrix alongside more trendy names like Roux.
