Does home schooling put kids at a disadvantage socially?

The Mommaloguers debate whether or not home-schooled kids are at a social disadvantage when compared to their regularly-schooled peers.

Vera says, “I sort of believe that there is a disadvantage for people who home school their children. Being in a classroom for six hours, versus being home schooled and venturing out a few times a week? It just not the same amount of time.”
