We’ve come up with three different ways to play this game.
Scavenger hunt bingo game
If you’re headed out, give each kiddo a bingo card and a pen or pencil to mark their cards. As you make your rounds through stores or holiday events, let them mark off items on their cards as they see them. They’ll have tons of fun, and you’ll get to shop while they’re occupied with the game — it’s a holiday win-win.
Scavenger hunt at-home bingo game
If you’re more in the mood for a quiet evening at home, you can still put a scavenger hunt spin on this bingo game — they’ll just have to look a little bit harder. The kids may be able to find most of the objects by scouting out your Christmas decor, but we’re betting they won’t be able to find everything the easy way. If they get stuck, have them start leafing through magazines and Christmas books, or flipping through channels on TV.
Classic bingo
Are you more of a classic bingo gal? You can play it that way, too. Just write down all the words below and drop them into a jar:
- Mitten
- Mistletoe
- Snowflake
- Reindeer
- Santa hat
- Ice skate
- Candy cane
- Wreath
- Sleigh
- Christmas tree
- Snowman
- Coal
- Elf
- Gingerbread man
- Milk and cookies
- Santa
- Ornament
- Stocking
- Bow
- Nutcracker
- Christmas lights
- Caroler
- Snow globe
- Hot chocolate
- Grinch
- Mrs. Claus
You know the drill after that. Call them out one at a time until someone yells, “Bingo!”
