Hair wraps are a fun way to add to your summer style, and making them yourself is easier than you might think. All you need is some embroidery floss and a few pretty charms to get started.
Supplies:
- 2 or more colors of embroidery floss
- Small hair elastic
- Scissors
- Beads
- Charms
Directions:
1. Braid the hair
Braid a small section of hair and secure the end of the braid with a small hair elastic.
2. Cut the embroidery floss
Cut four strands of embroidery floss so that they are approximately four times the length of the braid. Tie the embroidery floss in a knot at the top of the braid.
3. Wrap around the braid
Choose one color of the embroidery floss to start wrapping with. Grab both strands of that color and wrap around the braid and the other strands of embroidery floss.
4. Switch colors
To switch colors, pull out two strands of a different color, and begin wrapping it around the braid and all of the other strands of embroidery floss.
5. Add embellishments
As you wrap the hair, you will be able to add beads or charms by sliding them on to one of the strands of embroidery floss, then just keep wrapping as usual.
6. Tie the ends
When you reach the end of the braid, tie the strands of embroidery floss in a knot and trim any excess to finish off your hair wrap.
