Turn an old sock into the perfect Father’s Day gift

It can be hard to come up with the perfect gift for Father’s Day. Why not give a gift that’s useful and made by the kids? These monster-themed golf club covers will be a fun Father’s Day surprise for any dad who likes to spend time on the course.

Supplies:

  • Men’s large socks
  • Felt
  • String
  • Scissors
  • Googly eyes
  • Hot glue or fabric glue

Directions:

Step 1. Cut the felt

Cut three pieces of felt in coordinating colors that are approximately 3 inches wide and 8 inches long.

Step 2. Cut smaller strips

Cut both ends of the pieces of felt into smaller strips, approximately 1/2-inch wide. Don’t cut all the way through to the center of the felt.

Step 3. Tie the felt

Create hair by tightly tying the three colors of felt together at the center with a piece of string.

Step 4. Glue on the hair

Slide the sock on the golf club to figure out the placement of the hair, then glue it on to the sock using hot glue or fabric glue.

Step 5. Add the eyes

Glue two googly eyes onto the sock below the hair.

Step 6. Hit the course

Once the glue is dry, your sock monster golf club cover is ready for its first round of golf.
