Tamera Mowry gives birth to a 10-pound baby girl! Find out her unique name

Tamera Mowry and her husband, Adam Housley, welcomed a baby girl on July 1, and she weighed a healthy 10 pounds! Get all the details on the new addition to their family, including her unique baby name.

Tamera Mowry is a mom again. Her husband, Fox News senior correspondent Adam Housley, made the announcement via Twitter.

Ariah, whose name is pronounced like Mariah, was born in the afternoon. She weighed in at an amazing 10 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20.5 inches in length.

“Such a cool feeling. We are so excited to have Ariah here. Such a strong girl!” he continued in a series of tweets. “I love being a dad and @TameraMowryTwo was amazing. Everyone is doing great. Tired, but great.”

Ariah is a unique baby girl, but it has actually been increasing in popularity the last few years. The Social Security Administration’s popular baby name list, which keeps track of baby names through births here in the United States, ranked Ariah at 688 on its current list. However, it was 987 just four years ago. Emma is currently the most popular baby girl name.

The couple, who also have a 2-1/2-year-old son named Aden John Tanner, stuck with the “A” theme when naming their daughter Ariah — just like dad Adam.

Mowry, who rose to fame while appearing in the sitcom Sister, Sister with her twin sister Tia Mowry, had fun showing off her baby bump throughout her pregnancy.

Tia took to Twitter to express her excitement over the new addition to the family.

“I am officially an auntie to a niece!! So excited!! Congrats to the Housleys!!! Love you sis! You ROCK!!” she wrote.

Mowry recently appeared on the cover of American Baby magazine and opened up about her pregnancy. “Every woman carries pregnancy differently,” she said. “I carry big. It doesn’t matter how much I eat or exercise, I make big babies.”
