NFL star Torrey Smith’s 1-year-old scores viral hit with epic dance moves

Warning: The video you’re about to see contains high levels of excitement and will make you want to get up and dance. After all, children always find a way to melt our hearts and entertain us.

San Francisco 49ers player Torrey Smith and his wife, Chanel Williams, have created a dancing machine that goes by the name of T.J. Video of the NFL star’s 1-year-old son rocking out to Silento’s “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” has gone viral — earning close to 3 million views on his Facebook page. The Whip/Nae Nae dance is extremely popular these days, with everyone from parents to police officers getting in on the action.

“When you thought you were done turning up but your song comes on,” jokes Torrey as he records his son’s reaction to hearing the song played. Within seconds of recognizing the track, T.J. shuffles to his feet to dance.

The clip was such a hit that Smith posted another video of his son doing the “Whip/Nae Nae” dance, this time with his son’s mom and family in the background.

One thing is certain, this little boy can dance.

It’s always great to see parents have fun moments with their children — especially ones that encourage them to get up and move. These days, it’s become far too easy to plop them in front of a television and never think twice about it.

In addition to encouraging dance, Torrey and his wife also push education. Anyone with a toddler knows how hard it is for them to sit still, let alone want to learn something. If T.J.’s dance moves wow you, wait until you see him learn letters, his name and identify animal sounds. Torrey’s Instagram page is full of these educational moments that reiterate just how much our children can learn, regardless of age.
