Jessica Alba‘s The Honest Company, which sells non-toxic and all-natural products, is taking some heat after many parents are complaining that her 30 SPF Sunscreen Lotion is not working and resulting in sunburns.

The actress and mom took to Twitter to defend her sunscreen, linking to her website and sharing photos of her two daughters, Honor and Haven, along with Honest’s co-founder Christopher Gavigan’s kids, Luke, Evie and Poppy.

“As parents, it pains us to hear that anyone has had a negative experience with our Sunscreen. We develop and use Honest Sunscreen to protect our own children – Honor, Haven, Luke, Evie, and Poppy – at the park, in the pool, outside, every day. As with everything we do, we take sun protection seriously here at Honest,” the statement says.
“Our previous Sunscreen formulation had a 40-minute water resistance and customers told us that it didn’t apply as easily as they would’ve liked. Based on our own experience and consumer feedback, we redesigned our Sunscreen Lotion for 80-minute water resistance and an improved formulation that allows for easier application and a lighter-weight feel,” the statement continues, saying the sunscreen passed “extensive third-party testing in accordance with government regulations” and received the highest score from the Environmental Working Group.

While fans are still reeling after the announcement that Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are divorcing after 13 years of marriage, the singer and The Voice coach is taking some away time by vacationing in Montana with her adorable kids, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. Stefani shared the adorable snapshot above as she holds Apollo in her arms, writing in hashtags that it is her favorite “vaca” ever and that she never wants to go home.
