Kelly Clarkson, pictured here in this new photo she posted on her Instagram account with her daughter River Rose, is expecting her second child. The 33-year-old singer made the announcement during a performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where she started to sing and then had to stop because she kept getting emotional.
“I was not planning on announcing this, but I’m totally pregnant,” she said to the crowd, who immediately started cheering the American Idol alum.
“I didn’t want you to think I was on pills or something! Everything is great. I haven’t vomited yet, that’s a win!” she joked.
Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, have been open about wanting more kids — and they couldn’t wait to share the happy news.
