6-Year-old girl makes heartbreaking request of divorced parents (VIDEO)

A simple but powerful message from a 6-year-old girl named Tiana to her divorced parents is going viral, and it’s easy to see why.

Mom Sherry posted the video on Facebook, saying she was stunned with her daughter’s reaction to a fight she had with her ex, so she began videotaping her to hear more. “I just want us all to be friends” is Tiana’s main message. It’s peppered with sweet advice that everyone can take to heart, such as, “I think you can settle your mean heights down a little to short heights,” she says.

Experts urge divorcing parents to not fight in front of the kids and to keep things as positive as possible for them. Still, it’s hard when there’s so much animosity and emotion to always remember and act accordingly in the moment. Tiana’s advice, however, is a pretty stark reminder of just how important it is to keep trying, though.
