3 Cute Christmas ornaments kids can make with candy

Hard candy cut-out ornaments

Supplies:

• Hard candy
• Metal cookie cutters
• Parchment paper
• Baking sheet
• Straw
• String

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Place a piece of parchment paper on top of the baking sheet.
3. Set the metal cookie cutters on top of the parchment paper.
4. Fill inside the metal cookie cutter with hard candy.
5. Put the baking sheet with the candy in the oven. Watch it closely as the candy melts over the next five to 10 minutes.
6. Once the candy has melted slightly and has filled the shape of the cookie cutter, remove it from the oven.
7. Allow the melted candy to cool. Before it sets completely, use a straw to make a hole in the top of the ornament for hanging.
8. Once the candy has cooled completely, carefully remove it from the cookie cutter.
9. Cut a piece of string and tie it through the hole to hang the ornament.
