5. An easy, healthy meal she doesn’t have to shop for
I am a huge fan of anything that takes the thinking out of… well, anything that doesn’t totally need my mental energy. Blue Apron does just that by delivering original recipes and pre-portioned ingredients, giving Mom the chance to enjoy making a home-cooked meal without having to actually plan out each step. (Blue Apron, $70 per week, with two recipes a week serving a family of four.)
6. Beauty in a box!
We all know that you think she is beautiful, but a little reminder that it’s OK to pamper herself is never a bad thing. One of my favorite all-time splurges is Birchbox’s monthly subscription because awesomely cool beauty products are delivered to my mailbox without me having to think about it.( Birchbox, $30 – $110)
7. Massage or mani-pedi and babysitting offer
A little pampering is always a good thing, but it can be hard to find time to step away from the kiddos and justify the expense of a sitter on top of the cost of the spa service. A gift certificate for a mani-pedi or a massage and a homemade coupon for some free babysitting would help make sure she actually uses it! ($0 to $75)
8. An ornament that looks like her family
Sometimes it can be hard to find a reflection of single parent families in traditional items, which is why an ornament that looks like her family would make a great stocking stuffer. (Single-parent Christmas ornaments, $13 – $20)
