9. Bottoms up!
This Cocktail of the Month club takes the idea of a Wine of the Month club to entirely new level. If you know a single mom who likes to host get-togethers, this would make the perfect holiday gift. It’s pricey, but if someone gave me this gift, I would be thrilled. (Cocktail of the Month, $65 per month for kits without alcohol, $130 per month for kits with alcohol)
10. Say cheese!
It’s hard enough getting your kids to sit and smile for a picture, and even harder to get Mom in the shot. When you are solo parenting, there is no one around to take the photo with Mom in it. This cool “Stick & Shoot” camera connects with your phone and enables everyone in the house to get in the picture. The only tiny snag is that this item won’t ship until January 2016, so you can pre-order now, with delivery shortly after the holidays. (Podo, $99)
11. An awesome notebook
I don’t go anywhere without a pen and a notebook because there are usually dozens of things flying around in my head, which is why I love, love, love my leather, refillable notebook.(Handmade custom composition notebook, $85)
12. High-tech and helpful
I just came across the Amazon Echo very recently, and it is now at the tippy top of my holiday wish list. According to Amazon, “The Amazon Echo is designed around your voice. It’s hands-free and always on. With seven microphones and beam-forming technology, Echo can hear you from across the room — even while music is playing.” You can give commands to add things to your grocery list, ask what the weather is or get news and traffic reports, all by just speaking out loud. This is the closest thing I will probably ever get to having a personal assistant, and the reviews are also very impressive! (Amazon Echo, $180)
13. A sign of love
And no holiday would be anything without love, which is why I actually just bought this for myself to hang in my kitchen. I love the message, I love the focus on family and I love the love.(“In This House, We Do…” Sign, $30)
