Cat Deeley finally reveals her baby’s name without saying a word

Not all celebrities shout their baby names from the rooftops — or emblazon it all over their Instagram accounts. Some — like Cat Deeley and her husband, Patrick Kielty — keep it under wraps for as long as they possibly can.

The couple welcomed their first child — a baby boy — back in January but have never announced his name… until now. TV presenter Deeley dropped a very big hint at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles. She accessorized her denim dress with a personalized gold necklace bearing the name “Milo.”

Totally worth the wait, guys! A Latin and Old German name, Milo means “soldier or merciful.” It has grown in popularity recently (ranking 288th in the U.S. in 2015), but it actually has a rich history, including being the name of an ancient Greek Olympic wrestler who won the Olympic Games six times. It was also a very popular baby boy name in medieval Europe.

Modern-day baby Milos include the sons of celebrities Ricki Lake, Camryn Manheim, Sherry Stringfield, Liv Tyler, Craig Ferguson and Alyssa Milano.

Deeley and Kielty, who presented U.K. TV talent show Fame Academy together in 2002 but didn’t start dating until several years later, have always chosen to keep their personal lives private. They married in secret in Rome in 2012, and the public has yet to have a glimpse of their 7-month-old son.

Good for them! We love the couple’s baby name choice — and they deserve major props for keeping it a secret for so long!
