Looks like Jamie Oliver is sticking to his nature baby-naming theme

We’ve been patiently waiting for Jamie and Jools Oliver to announce the name of their gorgeous newborn son for two weeks now, and finally they’ve made it public.

The mom of five posted a picture with the words “Dream Big River,” which is a pretty big indication that the littlest Oliver’s name is River.

River is a popular “water name” and one of the leading “nature names,” ranking at No. 244 in the U.S. baby boy name chart in 2015. Recently, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green chose it as the middle name of their third son, Journey River Green.

In the caption of Jools’ picture, she added a rocket emoji, which has led to speculation that River’s middle name is Rocket. Not a common choice for a baby name, but definitely in keeping with family tradition. River’s big sisters and brother are called Poppy Honey Rosie, Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow and Buddy Bear Maurice.

A further clue came from Jamie’s sister, Anne-Marie Hunt, who commented on Jools’ picture with, “It’s all about the River today!” She also added a rocket emoji. And a monkey one. So is the full name River Rocket Monkey?

Well, we don’t know that for sure, but surely he can’t be the only Oliver child to have two names instead of three.

It’s possible the inspiration for the tot’s first name came from The River Café, the iconic Italian restaurant in Hammersmith, west London, which was opened by chef and cookery writers Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers in 1987. It was at The River Café where a young Jamie Oliver was first filmed as part of a TV documentary about the restaurant — and the rest is, as they say, history.
