Levine apologized to fans, explaining that it was “par for the course with having a baby soon,” and describing the situation as both beautiful and complicated.

The tot kept them hanging on for a few days, finally making her appearance on Wednesday in California. Levine and Prinsloo, who revealed they were expecting a girl back in April, named their daughter Dusty Rose Levine.

Dusty is a baby name we haven’t heard for… well, forever. It featured in the top 1,000 U.S. baby girl name chart in the 1970s, reaching an all-time high of No. 583 in 1976. This maybe due to the international popularity of the U.K.’s “best ever pop singer” Dusty Springfield (whose real name was Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O’Brien). However, since 1980, the name Dusty has steadily dropped, and hasn’t charted for decades. The meaning commonly attributed to Dusty is “brave soldier” — as a variation of Dustin, it may be a baby boy name too.

The middle name is a more traditional and also extremely popular choice: Rose is a classic flower name that’s been in the top 400 U.S. baby girl name chart since 1880, and has been picked by many celebrity couples as a middle name. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, Jon Stewart, Eric Clapton and Ewan McGregor are some of the stars who’ve found it to be the perfect connective. It’s been growing in popularity since 2009, and hit No. 166 in 2015.

Levine, 37, and Namibian model Prinsloo, 27, married in 2014 after dating for two years, and have been open about their desire to have a big family. And we’re talking big. Levine said in August 2014 that he wanted to have “100 kids,” regardless of whether that was “socially responsible” or not.

Only 99 more to go, then… In the meantime, welcome to Dusty Rose Levine.
