It’s not like Kim Zolciak to succumb to internet pressure, but her latest Instagram picture of one of her youngest children caused such a stir that she deleted it.

Zolciak shared a topless photo of her 2-year-old daughter Kaia, which had two heart emojis over the child’s nipples. When followers slammed her move, the 38-year-old mom of six quickly took the post down.
A little context might help explain why Zolciak chose to post this image in the first place. She was poking fun at the plastic surgery rumors she faces, writing in the caption, “If you zoom in on my nose you will see my mom is already molding my face to look just like hers… as I stand there in anticipation I can’t wait to see what my face will look like. #SamePlasticSurgeon #StartingAnArmyOfKims #WeDontLookAlikeCuzOfGenes #ItsPhotoshop #ImToughLikeMyBrothers #FellFlatOnMyFace #HappyFridayHaveAGreatWeekend.”
“Ya I gotta say, I would NEVER post a pic like this of MY 3 yr old Kaia,” commented one critic. “There’s too many sickos out here just waiting for sh*t like this to pop up. You could have put a shirt on her if you really needed a pic of her like this. Never have minded any other posts until now. This one is too much.”
“No one wants to see a child injured, poor thing, glad she’s a tough chic. However, as a mother of 3 girls, I have to disagree with the posting of a photo with hearts over her chest. All you had to do was crop the photo to only show her face,” wrote another. “Why objectify her so young?”

Another person posted, “There are more creeps than you’d ever realize on social media. Don’t assume people look like their photo. I would not want a pervert ogling photos of my young daughter. It’s not worth it, not even close. This is also how dangerous stalkers are bred. Please think.”
Some even deemed the photo “pedophile bait,” and others said they intended to report the picture to Instagram for being “inappropriate.” However, Zolciak deleted it before any further action could be taken.
Zolciak is no stranger to social media controversy. A few months ago, she was heavily criticized for Snapchatting her son’s hospital visit. And in June she shocked fans by revealing that she and her husband Kroy Biermann had put an electric dog collar on her 14-year-old daughter. Clearly, she’s not too bothered about the fuss she causes — all press is good press, right? But on this occasion, it seems she’s realized she’s overstepped the mark and wanted to erase all traces of the controversy from her social media account.
It’s important to point out, however, that some of Zolciak’s Instagram followers supported her. They clapped back at the “miserable people” making a big deal out of what was simply an innocent photo of a toddler whose romper top had fallen down. And they may have a point. Is posting a topless photo of a young child inappropriate or are the negative reactions to it more harmful?
