The couple welcomed their second child — another daughter — on Thursday Oct. 27. “We are so excited to welcome our new baby girl, Valentina Angelina Jonas to the world today,” they said in a statement. “She is healthy and beautiful and we couldn’t be happier!”

They added that big sister Alena Rose, 2, “already can’t wait for Valentina to come home and start being a big sister.”

Before the news was officially announced by the couple, uncle Nick Jonas couldn’t help sharing his excitement on Instagram, posting a clip congratulating his brother and sister-in-law.

Valentina is a baby girl name of Latin origin, a female variation of Valentine, meaning “strength, health.” It’s only been on the U.S. baby girl name chart since 1994, but has swiftly risen since then and reached No. 114 in 2015. This pretty, romantic name was also chosen by actress Salma Hayek and husband François-Henri Pinault and supermodel Adriana Lima and basketball player Marko Jari? for their daughter.

Pop culture references to the name include Valentina Diaz in the TV show Devious Maids and Lily Cole’s character in Terry Gilliam’s 2009 fantasy film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Notable Valentinas include Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space, and Oscar-nominated Italian actress Valentina Cortese.

After dating for two years, Kevin proposed to Danielle in July 2009 and they married five months later — with Joe and Nick Jonas as the best men.

Congratulations to Kevin, Danielle and Alena — and of course proud Uncle Nick!
