Babies Dressed as Disney Princesses for a Photo Shoot Are Everything

If you have had it up to here with the state of world affairs and you fear your heart is turning into a lump of cynical, embittered coal, fear not, friends, for we have found the antidote: Disney princess babies.

They’re teeny. They’re sleeping. They’re princesses. They will restore your faith in humanity and cause you to emit strange involuntary squeaking noises.

Yes, that’s Sleeping Beauty, sleeping on roses and peonies, like ya do when you’ve pricked your finger on a poisoned spinning wheel (or, you know, just had too much milk for lunch).

Who’s behind this gorgeous bunch of photos (and babies)? Mom and maternity photographer Karen Marie at Belly Beautiful Portraits of Roseville, California. Marie designed each baby’s set to echo a Disney princess movie and managed to locate wee little princess gowns — by Sew Trendy.

The entire shoot took eight hours, but Marie didn’t mind one bit.

“I’ve had this idea in my head for so long,” Marie, mother of three, said to KCRA 3. “My staff and the lady who makes the gowns all sort of came together to create [the] six sets.”

We love how Snow White makes sleeping on twigs and logs look downright comfy. Also, no chipmunks were harmed in the making of Snow White’s portrait.

We also love how Jasmine is floating away on her magic carpet. In fact, we would like a magic carpet right now, please. Can we get that on Amazon?

Jeez. All we got as babies was a lousy Sears portrait. Do-over, please.

We’re having trouble picking a favorite because they’re all simply gorgeous. Check out Belle (with a contemporary twist on Mrs. Potts and Chip):

And of course, there had to be an Ariel, with her signature fork and friendly sea buddy.

Karen Marie plans to do photo shoots with more babies as Disney heroines such as Pocahontas, Moana and Tiana.

“My favorite part about photographing babies is knowing in my heart how much these images will mean to families for generations to come,” Marie told Babble.

No kidding. We have a feeling these photos will stay in our heads — and our cynical old hearts — for a long time too.
