This OITNB Star Just Welcomed Her First Child

Orange Is the New Black star Laura Prepon seems to have conquered childbirth and then some. She and fiancé Ben Foster just welcomed their first child, a baby girl, according to a source for Us Weekly.

And what did the proud parents do next? Apparently, they enjoyed a night out. Us Weekly reported that an eyewitness spotted the pair on Aug. 22 at Out East in New York City, kicking back with some wine and cocktails. (Laura, we’re right there with you, but maybe get your mommy-shaming protective gear out just in case. Not even the East Village is immune to the shamers.)

Us Weekly originally broke the story in January that Prepon was pregnant — after she showed off her baby bump at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

And during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryanin June, Prepon revealed the baby’s sex.

“It’s kind of weird, ‘cause it sneaks up on you where you’re like, ‘I can’t believe it’s been eight months already. But then you’re like, ‘Oh my God, she needs to like come out already,” Prepon told Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest.

And the pregnancy cravings were fierce according to Prepon. “[My dad] was a doctor, and when he would have a break, we would go to this Jewish deli. We would get this pastrami on rye sandwich with a Dr. Brown’s black cherry soda. When I was a kid, that’s what we would get with my dad. With, like, mustard and sauerkraut. What’s so funny is I have not eaten that stuff probably since I was a kid with my dad. So when I got pregnant, all of a sudden I was like, ‘I need a pastrami on rye. I need a Dr. Brown’s black cherry soda. I need mustard and sauerkraut.’ These crazy Jewish deli cravings hit me so hard. Isn’t that funny?”

Um, no, not really, because now we’re completely craving cherry soda with a pastrami on rye with major sauerkraut.

Prepon is not one who likes being the public eye, but she opened up about her pregnancy experience to Us Weekly in July, calling it “amazing.”

“I’m creating life and it’s so incredible. I’m so ecstatic for this experience, but you go through so many changes. We’ve been in the Pacific North West keeping it low-key. I’m a very private person,” she said.

Prepon did share a rare pregnancy pic on Instagram on June 10, giving a shoutout, “Thanks @enviedefraise for my cute dress! Quickly becoming my fave maternity line.”

No word yet on the baby’s name or details of the birth, but from what we — and apparently quite a few residents of NYC’s East Village — can see, mom seems to be doing great.

Also no word yet on when we will stop craving a pastrami sandwich on rye bread with mustard and sauerkraut.
